Texas Premarital Counseling offers a customized and structured counseling experience online for couples across Texas who are looking to prepare for future milestones while building healthy day-to-day habits. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor, Lauren is passionate about helping couples be their favorite selves. She works with motivated couples that are in an exciting chapter of their lives, who simply don’t know what they don’t know. Lauren’s clients are looking to go from great to excellent- having essential conversations, thoroughly exploring and learning together, and building confidence by strengthening their foundation with evidence-based tools. Most couples opt for the 8 sessions customized counseling package, which works from the following structure: 

Session One - Thorough Assessment: 

exploring individual and shared histories, identifying strengths and focus areas, setting goals for premarital counseling 

Session Two - Family of Origin: 

structure, traditions, culture, beliefs, and values

Session Three - Individual Wellness:

stress management, needs, differences

Sessions Four and Five - Communication: 

patterns and cycles, tools, conflict resolution strategies 

Session Six and Seven - Expressing Affection: 

love languages, intimacy and sex, trust and boundaries 

Session Eight - Goals: 

roles and expectations, finances, family planning

In addition to the tools, skills, and confidence couples develop as a result of the premarital counseling process, couples who complete 8 hours of premarital counseling are also eligible for a Twogether in Texas certificate - good for $60 off their marriage license fee and to waive the 72-hour waiting period.

Starting Price Range: $200/hour or $1500/8hour package
