In addition to the breathtaking grounds and architecture, Barr Mansion also provides many of the services that you’ll need to host a memorable wedding: certified organic cuisine and delicious desserts; outstanding staff; dining, lounge, and decorative rentals; and coordination services.

Barr Mansion has four versatile event spaces, and you can use all of them for your wedding day.

  • The Artisan Ballroom is a stunning building with up to 40-foot tall walls of glass, allowing indoor receptions or ceremonies to take on the beauty of the outside. For a wedding ceremony, the Artisan Ballroom is ideal for guest counts up to 200 or 300 (depending on which backdrop you choose). For a reception, the ballroom can accommodate seated dinners of guests up to 266.

  • The Farmstead is an open-air pavilion, surrounded by gardens juxtaposed by modern styling. It is a beautiful space for guests to enjoy as the sun sets. The walls can be open or closed depending on the time of the year and preference. The Farmstead can accommodate ceremonies and seated dinners of guests up to 300.

  • The 100-year old Victorian Mansion serves as a space for intimate weddings, cocktail receptions, or for wedding parties to relax and get ready prior to the ceremony.

  • Outdoor venues include the courtyard, under the stately pecan tree, or on the porch of the mansion. Outdoor events have no guest limit. 

Taking into account the possibility of fluctuating weather, the Barr Mansion also offers a “Plan B” for outdoor events, wherein the ceremony can be easily accommodated by two covered options.

Package prices for the Barr Mansion can range from $7,500 to $25,000 per event. Price variations depend on the time of the year, the number of guests, and the package chosen.

A landmark of Texas hospitality, The Driskill is a century-old iconic hotel located on the corner of 6th and Brazos Street, right in the heart of downtown Austin. There are two main event spaces for hosting your wedding day activities: 

  • The Driskill Mezzanine: Spanning the second level of the hotel, the opulent Driskill Mezzanine boasts elegant décor mirroring the timeless lobby, lined with the same stunning, hand-painted columns and marble floors. 

Reserving the Driskill Mezzanine for your wedding day includes exclusive use of the space, including The Mezzanine Foyer, The Driskill Ballroom, The Maximilian Room, Jim Hogg Parlor, Austin Room, Governor's Boardroom, two covered outdoor balconies, and five guest room suites. 

Ceremony space is also included and is often hosted in The Driskill Ballroom or on The Mezzanine Foyer. This space is ideal for 350 guests for plated dinners and up to 500 guests for reception seating. 

  • The Victorian Room: This premier, unique venue once was home to the American National Bank of Austin and Austin’s first television and radio stations. Designed in a Victorian style, this room features a staircase, stained glass windows, and iron railings crafted from the bank’s original settings. 

An outdoor balcony offers an additional 1,276 square feet of space. The wedding ceremony is included in the Crystal Room complimentary. This space can accommodate 20 to 120 guests. 

The bridal party and guests can choose to stay in the hotel’s 189 guest rooms. 

The Driskill Rental Pricing

The Driskill offers a “Luxury for Less” package where you can choose between three spaces with more modest rates:

  • 1886 Cafe and Bakery: $150 inclusive per person, minimum of 10 guests, maximum of 30

  • The Victorian Room: $150 inclusive per person, minimum of 10 guests, maximum of 50

  • The Mezzanine: $200 inclusive per person, minimum of 50 guests, maximum of 100

On the other hand, the hotel also offers packages inclusive of both the ceremony and reception: 

  • The Mezzanine: Rental fees range from $5,000 to $10,000, inclusive of five guest room suites on the wedding night. Food and beverage minimum rates vary between $20,000 and $40,000 for 350 plated meals or 500 guests for the food stations. The wedding ceremony will be held at The Driskill Ballroom.

Located in the heart of the city center, The Austin Club is a stunning venue for any wedding celebration. The club boasts three stories and has traditional Victorian styling such as coffered ceilings and crystal chandeliers. The club is centrally located just one block from St. Mary’s Cathedral and other churches in Austin, making it the perfect location for your reception.

The Austin Club is a historic venue that offers a variety of banquet hall event spaces for weddings and events of all sizes. 

Their largest event space accommodates up to 250 guests, while the other banquet rooms are ideal locations for smaller and more intimate celebrations. The venue features three floors, each boasting of different event venues for clients to choose from. 

The second floor features the Medallion Room, which can accommodate a cocktail standing capacity of up to 300 guests and a seated dinner capacity for up to 250. Clients can configure this ballroom in a variety of ways to accommodate a specific wedding vision. There is also enough space to feature a dance floor, head tables, and any placement of banquet tables. 

The third floor of the event space features The Robert Looney Suite, which is a private dining room with a lounge reception area. This event space accommodates up to 70 guests for a standing cocktail hour and a maximum of 40 for a seated gathering. 

The Austin Club Rental Pricing

The Medallion Ballroom fee is $2,500 for a minimum of 100 guests. If your number is over 150 guests, the Ballroom fee is $2,700. The fee to rent the entire Austin Club building is $5,000.

This fee includes:

  • Large, permanent dance floor

  • Lace-draped bride’s cake table, silver and gold cake elevations, toasting glasses, and cake

  • Cutting sets

  • Silver chafing dishes, all table linens and buffet table skirting

  • Tables, house linen and napkins, gold chiavari chairs, flatware, glassware, china, and ice

  • Fabric gift box for the gift table

  • For each seating table, they provide a 12” round table mirror and three mercury glass votive

  • Cups with candles

  • Cake cutting attendants, carving station attendants, waitstaff, bartenders, and all clean-up

Wedding ceremonies in the Ballroom are limited to 150 guests and incur a fee of $2,200. This fee includes floor to ceiling draping for the ceremony area, theater-style chair seating, the conversion of the ceremony set up to the dinner/dance set up, four hours set up time prior to the ceremony, and complimentary changing rooms for the bridal party. An approved outside certified wedding coordinator is required.

The Austin Club minimum food charge is $60.00 per person for 100 adult guests, plus tax and service charge, for wedding receptions in the Medallion Ballroom.

Alcohol and Beverages Options at The Austin Club

Beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, are exclusively handled by the venue. If you don’t purchase an alcoholic beverage package, a non-alcoholic beverage package at $20 per person with an additional 22% service charge and sales tax will be required. 

Food and Catering Services at The Austin Club

Food and catering services are also exclusively handled and provided by the venue. For a minimum of 100 guests, the minimum food charge is $60 per person plus a 22% service charge and sales tax. Events booked on Friday and Saturday evenings during December require a minimum of 125 guests with a $60 food minimum charge per person.

Thistlewood Manor & Gardens can accommodate nearly 200 guests inside with a dance floor or 300+ if extended to the patio and lawn. However, the venue is intimate enough for smaller wedding celebrations. 

The Ballroom - Certainly, no ordinary event space – the grand staircase, amazing chandeliers, and marble-like floors make this a magical place for your wedding reception, or wedding ceremony. Up to nearly 200 can be seated here, and still, there is space for you and your guests to dance the night away. Base rates for the Thistlewood Manor are as follows: 

  • Saturday: $5,900

  • Friday and Sunday: $5,200

  • Tuesday and Wednesday: $3,500

  • Holidays: 10% will be added to the total bill pretax

  • Off-season: Summer, July, and August weddings may enjoy a 20% discount off of the venue rental free except during holidays; holiday rates apply on weekends during these months

Alcohol and Beverages Options at the Thistlewood Manor & Gardens

As the venue is fully licensed to sell and serve liquor, Thistlewood Manor’s policy requires the bar to be an onsite service. Packages can include a customized menu with a choice of beer and wine or a full bar with signature drinks. An average rate of $14 to $25 per person applies but is subject to change depending on the choice of drinks and the length of time the bar is open. If guests exceed 100 persons, security guards are required, which can cost an average of $350.
