I've said it before and I'll say it again-backyard weddings are the best! They just feel so genuine and organic; the way weddings were meant to be. This Houston home wedding is no exception. Held in the couples backyard, it represents all of the wonderful elements of home weddings-intimate, heartfelt, comfortable. Yet the couple did not let the familiar location be a reason to skimp on style and decor. The tented reception decor rivals that of many over-the-top celebrations we've featured here on 7 Centerpieces. From Moments Event Planning & Design...From the start it was all about family and friends celebrating with them. The day started casual and light-hearted with hair, make-up and the knowingness that they could and would see each other. Eventually they would have a first look on their lawn, that followed with the couple personally greeting guests on arrival prior to the ceremony. Guests enjoyed cocktails and music provided by Jonathan Moody Band as the bride changed into "the dress" for the ceremony. Guests and vendors were invited to sit for a family dinner. The night ended (but not really-they planned on no end time since it was in their home) with s'mores and laughter. Every detail was created personally by the bride or groom, this included the ceremony back drop, the bar (that was filled with personal keepsakes from the couple), and the centerpieces.
