Calling all kids at heart!  This Disney inspired Needville engagement session is one for the record books.  The soon-to-be married couple decided to infuse their love of their favorite Disney movies into their engagement shoot.  Dawn of Degrees North Images was the perfect photographer for this couple as she is a former Disney cast member.  Talk about a perfect fit!  Between Dawn and the couple, they created the perfect Disney lover's dream.  There's more Disney goodness in the gallery.

From Degrees North Images...Ashley and Ty are big Disney fans. In fact, they got engaged at Disneyland with none other than Alice and the Mad Hatter as witnesses! So when we met to discuss their engagement session, I knew ours was a match made in heaven! They really wanted to incorporate an Up theme, but they also wanted to include elements from some other Disney movies. Ashley mentioned that she had a light up Lumiere, as well as a Mrs. Potts and Chip figurine. We brainstormed locations and decided on one of my favorite places to photograph, Brazos Bend State Park in Needville, Texas. With a list of the props we had come up with to use, I created a storyboard to outline their Disney inspired session. Ashley and Ty's engagement adventure is what you get when you mix three Disney addicts (I'm a former cast member so I might have a slight edge) with a magical forest setting, lots of fun props and some fairy-tale kisses. We wove a story through a handful of Disney animated movies and managed to pay homage to some of their favorites. We included details from Up, Tangled, Beauty and the Beast, Alice in Wonderland, Cinderella, The Princess and the Frog and Snow White! Some of the touches like the Beauty and the Beast figurines and soda pop pins are very obvious, but many are much more subtle. To reference The Princess and the Frog, we included a tiny silver frog figurine and some mardi gras beads. For Snow White we included apples in the picnic scene and captured Ashley's gorgeous pear diamond on one of the apples. Of course we had to include something Alice in Wonderland inspired, so Ashley brought a vintage copy of the book and we incorporated a teacup. For Cinderella we included spools of thread and a needle. The alarm clock and key actually reference Cinderella and Alice in Wonderland! In the picnic scene the clock is set to midnight, while in the Alice scene it is set to 12:25 (the time the White Rabbit had the clock set to in the animated movie). Of course our Tangled inspiration is full of colorful flowers, a lantern, and a frying pan! These two are getting married in Houston this fall and will also be incorporating Disney themes into their wedding decor! After their soiree, they're head to Walt Disney World for their honeymoon!
