Winter in south Texas can be hard to come by. But Sandy from Rustic Romance Rentals found a way to represent the season in this crimson and candlelight Poteet styled shoot. Filled to the brim with bold reds, romantic greens, and lush golds, it embodies the look and feel of the winter season while still representing the Texas landscape. Sandy got help from an amazing team of vendors to bring her vision to life. Throw in a gorgeous model and you've got a styled shoot for the record books. From Rustic Romance Rentals...When we set out to create this moody bohemian shoot, I had many ideas going through my head. I knew I wanted a unique location, a beautiful red head, and a very cool mobile bar. I also had a macrame backdrop that I just HAD to use, and so the inspiration for this shoot was born. I chose Strawberry Pines, a wedding venue located south of San Antonio, Texas with a refurbished 100 year old barn and dozens of pine trees that flood the main grounds--yes pine trees in Texas, who knew! I also contacted a dear friend with a super trendy horse trailer repurposed into a cool mobile bar. I then reached out to a friend; a pale skinned, beautiful deep red head of Puerto Rican descent who travels the world in her spare time. Once I had these friends on board I sought out the most amazing, hard working vendors I know. Everyone was eager and excited to work on this project. I wanted the mood for this project to have a winter feel which is hard to capture since we're in South Texas, but I wanted to utilize the colors found at this time of year; the deep reds, golds & greens. Together we completed this look with crushed velvet draping, gorgeous fresh flowers, a delicious cake made with real wine and dark chocolate. The mobile bar service created a custom sangria and the calligrapher traveled over two hours from Corpus Christi, Texas to bring in her beautiful custom stationary, place cards, mirror and canvas banner. The bridal boutique provided us with a beautiful two-piece dress and veil. The hair and make up artist added her beautiful touches and our amazing photographer captured every detail of this beautifully styled shoot. We all worked diligently and seamlessly to create this project. We laughed and listened to country music as we worked because we're in Texas of course! As we were setting up the lounge, we witnessed the butterflies at the bar sipping the sweet sangria and fluttering around all of the amazing florals. This was the highlight of our day!
