From Amanda Travis of Fete & Frivolity Events...Deb and Carl met at the Wizard World convention in New Orleans several years ago and quickly realized that their passion for great stories, classic characters & all things vintage could only be surpassed by the love that grew between them. Deb & Carl wanted their day to be highly personalized and a perfect blend of things they love. So they spent countess hours gathering fun elements and family heirlooms to incorporate in their design & decor. Planned and executed within a $10,000 budget, Deb & Carl's big day was filled with intelligent and intentional decisions made to stretch our dollars while staying true to the couple's vision and style. Choosing to celebrate on a Sunday at a more remote venue provided significant savings over pricier dates, and options inside the cities of both Dallas and Fort Worth. The couple also saved a significant amount by using a mixture of decor that came with their venue and thrifted elements for their tablescapes, including choosing floral arrangements that were "chop & drop" and could be completed on site in a matter of minutes rather than something more elaborate and costly. The result of all their hard work was a fantastic meeting of chic and quirky elements that made their day "one of a kind" - just like the love they share.
